Eye exams are actually fun for the children! At Mount Seymour Optometry we approach children's eye care with extra sensitivity and we will ensure that your child gets the best start in life. Did you know that 80% of the information a child uses to learn comes through their eyes? It is very important that children have a comprehensive eye exam by the age of 6 months, and again annually until they finish school. Children do not need to speak or read to have an eye exam. The eye exam is subsidized by the Care Card (MSP) program with a small co-pay charge. If vision problems run in your family or you notice something that concerns you, please remember that we can examine your child's eyes as soon as they open them for the very first time. We welcome you to ask any questions and encourage you to check out the ABSee Program Website for fun games and more information.
